A winter rental listing brings calls from people you do not know.
Put a 602 number on it. The calls ring your phone, and the number ends with the season.
Ask for 602 when you create a number on ExpressNumber, and the number you hand out reads as Phoenix. It rings the phone you already carry, and you burn it when you have no more use for it.

Give each company a number of its own. Burn the ones you did not hire.
Buyers get one that works until the sale and not a day longer.
Until 2023, area code 602 meant most of the City of Phoenix, part of Glendale, and the communities of Cave Creek and Ahwatukee.
Today it shares one larger area with its two neighbors. 480 brought Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, Chandler and Gilbert. 623 brought Glendale, Avondale, Tolleson, Buckeye and Sun City. A 602 number can now be issued anywhere in that combined area.

From the public records of the body that runs US phone numbering, read October 13, 2026.
602 is one of the original codes of 1947. 520 was split from it in 1995, and in 1999 the Phoenix area was cut into three: 602 in the middle, 480 to the east and 623 to the west.
In 2023 the lines between the three were removed and they became a single overlay. Ten-digit dialing for local calls became mandatory on August 12, 2023.

Create a number in your dashboard, type 602 as the area code and give it a name, such as Winter rental. It is live in about a minute. You do not need to live in Arizona: calls ring the phone you already carry.
Yes, for taking calls and texts. A pool cleaner, an air conditioning tech or a winter rental host can put a 602 number on the truck and the listing, take the calls on their own phone and burn the number when the season ends.
Since 2023, yes. The lines between 602, 480 and 623 were removed, so all three now cover Phoenix and the cities around it, including Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, Chandler and Glendale.
No. Your numbers are receive-only: they take calls and texts, and they never make them. You answer calls on your own phone, and you cannot reply to a text from the inbox.
