Yes. Giving a site or a store a number you control instead of your personal line is legal, the same way a second email address is. What is not allowed: fraud, impersonation, harassment, or getting around an identity check that exists by law. Do any of that and the account is closed.

Forwarding stops immediately, so calls and texts to that number stop reaching you. The number then rests for 30 days before it can go back into circulation, so nobody inherits your spam. Burning is permanent: you cannot get that number back. Your message history stays in your inbox.

Extra minutes are 5 cents each, capped at $50 a month on Basic and $100 on Pro. At the cap, forwarding pauses for the rest of the month and texts keep coming through. We email you at 80 percent of your minutes, and again when overage starts.

Yes. Once your carrier picks up, voicemail included, the call counts as answered time and uses minutes, rounded up per call: 65 seconds is 2 minutes. Set a number to Texts only or Block if you do not want it using minutes at all.

Yes, from Billing in your dashboard. Your plan runs to the end of the month you paid for. Cancel during the 7-day trial and you pay nothing.

They keep working until the end of the month you paid for, or the end of your free week. After that they are burned: calls and texts to them stop, and each one rests 30 days before it can be reused. There are no partial refunds.
