Terms of Service
Written in plain language on purpose. Using ExpressNumber means you agree to these terms.

01
What the service is
- Real US numbers that receive
- ExpressNumber gives you US phone numbers that take incoming calls and texts.
- Receive-only
- Your numbers never place calls or send texts. There is no outbound path to buy, enable, or unlock.
- Your forwarding number
- Calls forward to one real mobile number that you confirm is yours by texting START and a 4-digit code from it to your ExpressNumber. It is never shown to the people who call you.
- Three modes per number
- Forward incoming calls to your confirmed mobile, set a number to texts only, or block calls and texts.
02
Emergency calling: there is none
The limit that matters most
ExpressNumber numbers cannot place calls of any kind, including to 911. Keep a real phone line for emergencies.
- Do not use ExpressNumber as your only phone service.
- Do not give an ExpressNumber number as an emergency contact number where outbound calling might be assumed.
03
Free trial
- New accounts start with a 7-day free trial of the plan they choose. Nothing is charged at signup.
- Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the plan then renews automatically every month at its price ($9.99 for Basic, $29.99 for Pro) until you cancel.
- During the trial an account can hold 1 number and use up to 100 forwarded minutes. The plan's full allowance starts with the first payment.
- One trial per person. Accounts opened to take more than one trial can be closed.
04
What you may not do
We close accounts for any of the following:
- Fraudulent account creation, including accounts opened with false identity details or on someone else’s behalf without permission.
- Evading a ban, suspension, or any platform block, ours or another service’s.
- Harassment, stalking, or threats using a number we provide.
- Any illegal use, including fraud, scams, and getting around legal identification requirements.
- Collecting verification codes at volume, reselling numbers, or automated account creation.
05
Fair use
- Inbound texts are unlimited within fair use: 500 texts per number per month.
- Numbers that keep going past fair use may be flagged, and repeated abuse can lead to suspension.
- One account per person and per forwarding mobile number.
06
Burning, quarantine, and release
- Burning is immediate and final
- When you burn a number, calls and texts to it stop at once, and the action cannot be undone.
- Quarantine
- A burned number sits in quarantine for 30 days, during which nobody receives traffic on it, and then goes back to the carrier pool.
- Release is permanent
- Released numbers can be reassigned to someone else. Do not count on a burned number ever coming back to you.
- Burns on a paid plan
- After the free trial, your first burn each calendar month is free. Each further burn that month adds a one-time $1 to your next bill, and the burn screen says so before you confirm.
- When we burn a number
- We may burn or release a number ourselves where the carrier, the law, or these terms require it, for example when a subscription ends, on a plan downgrade, or for abuse.
07
Billing
- Plan prices
- Basic is $9.99 a month and Pro is $29.99 a month, billed monthly through Stripe after the free trial.
- Minutes past your plan
- Forwarded minutes beyond your allowance bill at 5 cents each, counted on answered forwarded calls and rounded up per call.
- The overage cap
- Overage stops at $50 per period on Basic and $100 on Pro. At the cap, call forwarding pauses until the next period and texts keep arriving.
- Extra numbers
- Numbers beyond your plan’s included count bill at $1 per number per month on Basic and 50 cents on Pro, prorated.
- Cancelling
- You can cancel from Billing in your dashboard. Cancelling during the free trial means you are not charged. Otherwise cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, you keep the plan until then, and there are no partial refunds.
- After cancellation
- When a cancelled subscription ends, or after repeated payment failure, your numbers are burned and go through the quarantine above.
08
The service depends on carriers
- Numbers, delivery, and routing ride on third-party carrier networks we do not control.
- Some banks and services refuse virtual numbers. We cannot make them accept ours.
- We may need to replace or reclaim a number for carrier or compliance reasons. We tell you when that happens.
09
Liability and changes
- The service is provided as is, without warranties of uninterrupted service or of delivery of any specific message or call.
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
- We may update these terms. Material changes are announced by email before they take effect.
